It is a dreadful thing to waste the grace of God.
To receive the blood of Jesus’ redemption on your life, then let it sit and rot. To put on the crown of salvation and let it rust by exercising no godly authority or work of reconciliation in the earth. To drink deep of God’s cup of mercy, but spit it in the face of those crying out for help and hope in the world.
Let’s stop showing up in line for forgiveness of our own sins from the Lord if we’re going to push out those needing forgiveness from us. God will not be mocked.
“He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?” -Romans 8:32
If the Gospel is worth anything, it is worth everything. Are you living a life worthy of Christ’s death? Are you bypassing grace and still making excuses for your slothfulness, idleness, selfishness, lack of time management, boredom, or social media marathons?
God’s grace is on our lives to do something amazing. Let’s not miss it or live the same unchanged life as if He never came. Let’s not accept his sacrifice only to live enslaved to sin still – let’s not do it. Let’s cutoff anything keeping us chained to lukewarm-ness – that is no longer our God. We are under new management now.
The Devil has been defeated. Let’s not forget.
